To reach us, you may proceed from New Delhi to Haridwar, before catching a Chamba/New Tehri/Uttarkashi bound bus or taxi that will take you up through Rishikesh and Narendranagar to Khaddi/Nagni villages on the roadside.
The Henwalghati or Henwal River Valley is located in Tehri Garhwal District of Uttarakhand state in India. You may find the location invariably cited as the Uttar Pradesh Hills or Uttaranchal which are now obsolete. Since time immemorial, the region has been called Uttarakhand — a fact finally recognized with the renaming of the state in 2007 — while the particular region has been colloquially known as Garhwal and the people living there Garhwali. Dehradun, the largest city in the region is the provisional capital of the new state, while the close by Rishikesh is a world renowned site of yoga and pilgrimage.
